Compressor Assist Bundle
A compressor assist bundle consists of all of the starting components for your compressor and condenser fan motor. This includes replacement of the contactor, dual run capacitor and installation of a hard start kit.
These components are crucial to the operation, reliability and efficiency of your equipment. Your contactors responsibility is to control the power delivery to your system, with a damaged or improperly working contactor there’s a risk of damaging some of the most important components of your equipment. Your capacitor provides the necessary boost of electrical energy to help motors (like the compressor or fan motor) start effectively and efficiently ensuring your HVAC system runs smoothly. With an out-of-tolerance capacitor your motors cannot run efficiently, and the longevity of the motors can be reduced.
Hard start kits are especially useful for older HVAC units, or systems that operate under heavy loads or extreme conditions. Over time, a compressor’s ability to start smoothly may degrade, and a hard start kit can help restore some of that lost starting power. It’s also helpful in areas with high voltage fluctuations or environments where the HVAC system is frequently cycling on and off. If you have a whole home generator installed on your home typically the manufacturer of the generator recommends the use of a soft start for your air conditioning system. Drain Solve is an alkaline-based drain cleaner which removes algae, hair and other organic matter. It is non-fuming and it will clean and clear drains quickly. A float switch is a safety device used in HVAC systems to protect against water damage caused by overflow in condensate drain pans. It operates by monitoring the water level within the drain pan and automatically shutting off the system if the water level rises too high, indicating a potential clog or drainage issue.
The manufacturer recommends float switches be replaced every 5-7 years since they’re such an important device. Float switches that are not mechanical also have higher failure rates than mechanical float switches.
