Meet Darren T. & His Family
My father is always the first to lend a hand to help and support others. He and my mother raised my siblings and I to always put others first and share the love of Christ with those around us. My parents are both retired law enforcement officers and my brother is a military veteran. My parents recently brought my brother and his wife and daughter to live with them in their home in Florida as my brother transitions out of military service life. Unfortunately shortly after they united households hurricane Ian hit. My family has suffered loss and damages much like everyone affected by the storm. This is in addition to the unexpected costs of supporting my brother and his family as his plans for employment have been derailed following the storm. My parents’ AC system is very old and unreliable at this point and I know that a reliable system would bring much needed joy and relief to them as they continue to navigate this time. Through this whole ordeal my husband and I who reside in Maine welcomed our new baby boy into the family. My father has yet to meet his first grandson as he works steadily in Florida to regain some normalcy. It is my hope that my family can be blessed with this generous gift continue to move forward in the much needed repairs to their home my brother and his family will land on their feet and my father will get the opportunity to meet his grandson.

Meet Catherine M.
Catherine is absolutely the most giving person I know. She is pictured above with my son; she is my son and daughter’s godmother. She is a foster mom and has housed 4 different sets of foster children in charlotte county for the last 3 years. She is currently fostering ME and my two kids!! My home was destroyed due to hurricane Ian and 12 months ago I also lost my husband as a result of a drunk driver. Catherine has been by our side helping me and my kids pick up the pieces and try to find some form of normalcy and now that we’ve lost our house (and are patiently waiting to hear from my insurance company) she has given up her home to us until ours is ready. Once we move back into our home she will go back to fostering kids in charlotte county and she has needed a new a/c unit for quite a while but has had to keep just making temporary repairs to hold it off a little longer as she has not had the funds for a complete replacement.
