These are organizations that have a track record of good stewardship and lasting community impact.
The Twig is a local nonprofit in Venice that serves as a resource for children in foster care. When children enter foster care, they often come with only the clothes on their backs. The Twig is there to meet this need by providing these children a shopping experience in which they can pick out clothing free of charge. During this experience, they are also filled with love and encouragement.
SOLVE Maternity Homes is recognized as a model organization which serves pregnant women and teens in need. Through Christian leadership, SOLVE has served thousands of women and families since 1976. In this time, SOLVE has come to welcome nearly 1,400 babies to live-in residents who came to SOLVE in order to make these births possible. Today, women and girls call SOLVE a safe home and opportunity environment for better lives ahead. The collective successes of each SOLVE resident has served to make theirs and their babies lives stronger – and their families and communities as well.
Not everyone is called to personally foster or adopt, but Bridge a Life believes everyone can do something to help kids from hard places. We engage volunteers who provide meaningful wrap around care to foster and adoptive families, such as meal delivery, childcare, home improvement projects, training, and more.
