“Loving others with the comfort of Christ” is what we do at the Tri County Community Foundation, known in the community as Serve Florida, and that is exactly what we did at the Day 4 Hope.

Day 4 Hope was held at the Venice Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 29th. There were 6 other Venice Churches who supplied some of the 198 volunteers.

Over 125 “at risk” children were shown the love of Christ by receiving backpacks filled with school supplies. They were also given haircuts, medical, dental and eye exams. These children also received gift cards for clothing and shoes along with a hamper of food for their families.

This amazing annual event was coordinated by Hope 4 Communities. By working together with volunteers and other nonprofit organizations, such as Serve Florida, we were able to help these children begin their first day back at school with dignity.

Serve Florida and One Christ Won City volunteers cooked over 500 hamburgers and hotdogs for these children, their families and the volunteers.

Throughout the year many needs arise. If you want to help our cause of “Leave No One In Need”, you can sign up to volunteer here:

After you register, you will receive an emails throughout the year telling you about needs in our community.

May the Lord show you great favor today!

Sincerely,

Jim and Chris Foubister | Directors Serve Florida
