Want to see something gross? Of course you do!
What you’re seeing here is the evaporator coil inside of an air conditioner. Nasty right? It gets worse… all of that gunk affects the air in your house and the air you breathe. In the AC business, it’s all about IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) and when the inside of your unit looks like the grimy insides of an ogre’s nose, you aren’t anywhere near good IAQ.
“EW. I don’t want to go anywhere near that!!!”
Good news, you don’t have to! At Tri County Air, we have 40+ brave and unwavering technicians that will take care of that nasty-ness inside your unit for you! All you have to do is call and schedule an appointment for maintenance, and we’ll take care of the rest.
“How long does it take gunk to build up?”
Muck and constricting build up on the evaporating coil takes anywhere from just 1 year to 5 years, it all depends on the owner’s environment and up keep on the unit’s parts. For people who tend to forget to change their
air filters regularly, light lots of candles or have multiple pets, it will usually only take a year to reach the state pictured to the top left. However, people who have regularly scheduled check-ups for their AC units will have cleaner evaporator coils, pictured to the top right. The experts at Tri County Air recommend receiving check-ups for your unit at least twice a year.
