FOUNDER
William Swanson, Sr. founded Tri County Air in 1977. He primarily focused on the mobile home new construction market and is responsible for installing the first air conditioning and heating systems in popular communities like Maple Leaf Estates, Veranda Springs, La Casa, Harbor Isles, Bay Indies, Spanish Lakes, and Lake Village. The business grew substantially under the leadership of William Swanson, Sr., and Tri County Air quickly became synonymous with words like “trust” and “comfort”.
William Swanson, Jr., known by colleagues, staff, and customers as Billy, is the current President and Owner of Tri County Air. He began working full time at Tri County Air in 1987, and took over the business in 2001 following the death of his father. Billy holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a ministry leader in the community.
Billy’s primary calling was to Christian ministry. His outreach began in college and extended over the years to family and friends. In 1995, he and his family traveled to Russia to teach Christian ethics and morality. It was there that Billy realized that his purpose in life was to teach others about the eternal comfort found in Jesus Christ.
“After taking over Tri County’s management, I struggled for the first couple of years,” Billy admitted, “and then God helped me see that business can actually be a platform for ministry. Tri County could be the best and most trusted company in providing environmental comfort, and it could also be an organization to help others find eternal comfort in Jesus Christ. And that is my goal, personally and in business: to be the best and largest air conditioning company, bar none, on the Suncoast of Florida.”
To comfort all in such a way that they are compelled to tell others about their experience and it honors the Great Comforter Jesus Christ.
